BYCAC 2011 Venue - Brasenose Two
Linear’s largest carp water and one to watch.
Within metres of Brasenose One is the second carp lake on this site. At 34 acres it is a little larger than its neighbour and is also long, open and reed fringed.
There are many more gravel bars and features in this water than any others on the site. For this reason we highly recommend that to save you losing fish and for their welfare, leaders are used at all times. This will help prevent “cut-offs” from the bars but please remember to ensure all leads are able to break away when using leaders.
Linear began the stocking of this carp water in 2005 and we now estimate the stock to be well over 1,300 fish. A high percentage of the fish stocked have been commons, fully scaled and linear scaled which are maturing rapidly and already Brasenose Two is starting to rival its sister lake Brasenose One as a runs-water. In 2010 more anglers began to enjoy some remarkable multiple captures and a high percentage of these fish included twenties. Records now stand at 32.01 for a mirror [caught in 2010] and over 22lb for a common.
As with the other day ticket carp waters the stocking policy on the Brasenose Two Carp Lake is on-going and over 200 carp were introduced in 2010 this introduction included several fish over twenty pounds. We plan to introduce at least a similar number in 2010 and these fish are currently being raised in our stock ponds.
There are tracks around most of the lake and parking in many places is within easy walking distance of most swims.
THERE IS NO CLOSE SEASON ON ANY OF THE LINEAR DAY TICKET OR SYNDICATE WATERS.
