simon crowSimon Crow

Simon has been the on-site Event Co-ordinator for the BYCAC since its launch in 2004. Not only is Simon a well-respected carp angler but he has fished all over the world and been a big part of the carp angling scene for many years, even once holding the title of World Champion. From day to day Simon is Editorial Director of Carp-Talk weekly angling magazine and will be present at the event for the whole week to ensure it runs smoothly and is on hand to deal with any questions you may have.

oz buchanOz Buchan

Oz is our second in command and has had a presence at the BYCAC since day one. Oz has played a huge role in the ongoing success of the event and has loads of experience working with junior anglers. He will be on site all week during the event, helping with the draw for swims, weighing fish and his will be one of the first faces you see when arriving on the morning of your Eliminator day to register.

jerry bridgerJerry Bridger

Jerry is Editor of Crafty Carper monthly magazine and will this year be at the event giving helpful advice to entrants and taking those all-important photographs of the event which will be featured in the magazine. If you think you’ve got something good to say give Jerry a shout – each month in Crafty Carper we run a featured called Under-21s which gives young anglers like you a voice. Don’t forget to get hold of the latest issues to keep up to speed with tactics for the event.

andy chambersAndy Chambers

Renowned big-water angler Andy will once again be at this year’s event, Andy has a wealth of experience in angling both in the UK and overseas and will be helping weigh in those important captures. If you want to brush up on your fish handling/weighing skills watch and learn.

harry charingtonHarry Charington

Harry is 20 years old and is a student at Exeter University. He lives in Surrey and has been a bailiff for the BYCAC for four years now. Before helping out as a bailiff Harry was a regular competitor of the BYCAC until he became too old. Harry has fished quite a lot on the Linear complex so he knows the nature of both the lake and the competition and has a lot of knowledge to pass on. Harry will be present at this year’s event once again to assist in weighing the captures.

adam johnsAdam Johns

Adam Johns will once again be an official marshal at the BYCAC 2010. As a youngster he grew up fishing Llandrindod Wells Lake, which is steeped in history, with many famous names fishing there in its heyday. He now fishes Birch Grove winter syndicate and a Herefordshire syndicate but still enjoys fishing the day tickets waters around the place. Adam fished the BYCAC since its beginning until his age dictated he could no longer enter. Adam says, “From fishing these competitions I have gained a lot of valuable experience and have put a lot of that into my day-to-day fishing.”
